Coworking. What's this?

Everyone is talking about "coworking" - but what is it exactly? Is it a trend for hip freelancers or also a useful solution for startups and established companies? Our coworking guide provides the answers!

Coworking can be best defined as "working together": freelancers, startups, digital nomads and small to medium-sized companies work together in relatively open spaces in one building, where they can exchange ideas, benefit from each other and implement projects together, but also work completely independently.

Coworking spaces provide workstations and infrastructure such as a network, printer, scanner, telephone, conference technology and meeting rooms on a temporary basis and support community building through joint events, workshops and other activities.

Flex Desk, Own Desk or Team Office?

Coworkers with a flexible workstation (also known as a hot desk or flex desk) look for a free space in the common areas every day and quickly build a connection to the community here. This is the cheapest coworking option; those who want a fixed desk (fix desk) in an open-plan or individual office pay a little more for it. Larger companies are increasingly renting entire team offices in suitable coworking spaces for their employees and benefit from the full-service offering of the respective operator.

Location Advantage Plus Flexibility

Most coworking spaces are located in central locations in major cities such as Hamburg or Berlin, where office space tends to be highly priced. This modern form of office sharing allows coworkers to secure an office address in an attractive location close to the city center with flexible and favorable conditions.

Why is the Hamburger Ding the coolest

coworking space on the Kiez?

The “classic” coworking space probably doesn’t exist. But if it did, the Hamburger Ding would be pretty much the opposite. At the Hamburger Ding, there is no prioritization of working hours and free time, nor are there fixed boundaries between job, workout, networking and parties.

When does your workday start? At 8:00, when you start the day with a workout in the Towers Zone and meet colleagues and coworkers. At 9:30 at the coffee machine, while you discuss the strategy for the next MeeDING with your boss. Or as soon as you open your laptop - in your office, in a comfortable armchair in the Hygge Lounge or on the treadmill because you want to set new benchmarks on the pedometer again.

You decide and  #machdeinding.

24/7 #coolworking

At Hamburger Ding, you can easily fill your day with the content that suits you best. Concentrate on your work, meet people in a relaxed atmosphere, broaden your horizon, do something for your fitness and be on the guest list at the hottest parties and events: all this is part of the job with us. Rent a desk where others do their Instagram-stories and turn work into #coolworking. You'll only find that at the Hamburger Ding.
